❄️ Sneak Peek into December!
As we wrap up the year, our December sessions are designed to build real-world skills, foster independence, and set everyone up for a successful start to the new year. Here’s what’s coming up in each program area:
Small Groups
We’ll be focusing on two key themes this month: Winter Break and Financial Literacy.
- Winter Break sessions will help participants plan meaningful downtime, balance relaxation with responsibility, and stay connected with routines and goals during the holiday season.
- Financial Literacy will cover practical money skills—like budgeting, saving for short- and long-term goals, and making smart spending choices. These lessons are a great foundation for independence and confidence in managing personal finances.
Multi-Day Program
This month’s topics are all about building a strong sense of self and future direction through Job Exploration and Self-Advocacy.
- Job Exploration will give participants the chance to learn about different career paths, identify personal strengths and interests, and practice job-search skills in a supportive setting.
- Self-Advocacy sessions will focus on communication, decision-making, and understanding personal rights—skills that help participants take charge of their goals at work, school, and in the community.
Community Connections
Our theme for December is Healthy Workplace, where we’ll explore what makes a workplace positive, respectful, and productive. Participants will discuss topics like teamwork, managing stress, communication with supervisors, and maintaining a good work-life balance. These skills will help them contribute to and thrive in any workplace environment.
Let’s finish 2025 strong and look forward to a bright, skill-building new year together!
